In this weeks feature for Help Out Buffalo, we’re highlighting Compeer of Greater Buffalo. Compeer is an organization that provides social support through friendships to people living with a mental health diagnosis and striving for wellbeing. In our recent visit, we joined in on a social activity night which involved fun crafts and socializing. If you’re a social butterfly or someone who loves to converse and be with people - this one is for you! Friendship is the key to these volunteer opportunities - being consistently present, with clear communication, and patience are the most important factors for being an effective volunteer.
